Do you have recommendations for making this hat for a newborn? I'm a nanny and my boss is about to burst. She wants an adorable hat for the baby's first professional photographs and I thought this was perfect!
the boys look so cute in their little hats!
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave.com in the Printables category today [03 Mar 01:00pm GMT]. Thanks, Maria
i really enjoy browsing through your blog! you are very creative and very artistic! in this picture, not only is the hat cute but you have godlooking boys! =)
So cute!! I love it. And I love the little models! Stop by and link up at my carnival Make it Wear it if you want!
Thank you so much for the pattern!
Love this cute lil hat! I'd like to make this for a toddler, how much did you increase the size for yours? I'm a definate beginner so put it simply please! :)
In the rnd 1, do 8 sc instead of 6 sc. And add 2 more rnds after 8 rnd. As simple as that. I hope that is correct because it's been a while since I did this pattern.
How can I make it in adult sizes including extra large for my hubby, he loves it.
I love this! I'm a photographer (www.audreyspearphotography.com) and made some for my newborn shoots. Can't wait to use them!
I would also love to see the adult size variation! :) I will make this for my 2 year old, but I've gotta have one too. Cute pattern!
I need instructions for adult size to fuzzy brown earflap hat pattern.
Sandy
I haven't tried doing an adult size yet, but I would try 10sc in rnd 1 and add 3-4 more rnds after rnd 8. Hope it works.
Have you done an instructional video? I LOVE this hat!!! I'm more of a visual learner. If not, maybe you should. This would help a lot of people out.
Thanks so much!!!
Love this pattern. I worked it in Bernat Pipsqueak yarn for my 11 year old daughter. I did start with 10 stitches in the first round and added two rows after row 8 as you suggested for adult size. I also added extra stitches in the ear flap. I was amazed at how quickly and easily it worked up, and my daughter thinks I am amazing!! Thanks so much.
This is really cute and the first thing I've seen in a long time that I really wanted to do. Adorable! I wish someone would figure out how to make a neck addition to it. Then it would be perfect. My hair is short and my neck always gets cold!
I love the pattern!! Thank you for posting it. If I ever get around to putting down my "sticks" (as my grandbabies call them) I plan to start a blog and post my patterns as well. So from one crafty crafter to another, I thank you. Also, what sweet faces on your models. I'm a grandma, so that makes me an official cuteness judge! ;)
Red Heart Baby Clouds is the same yarn as Red Heart Light & Lofty. I was thinking it would be super cute done in Pink Lemonade for a girl
